Received minor damage in Trumbull, CT in a taxi accident while parked.

The Commando was parked in Trumbull, CT when it was hit by sistership 44-77510 of the same unit commanded by Holland L. Willard that was taxiing nearby. Both airplanes suffered minor damage.

Assigned to the 315th Troop Carrier Group, Medium, 43rd Troop Carrier Squadron, Medium based at Brady AB, Japan.

Provided aerial transportation between Japan and Korean during the Korean War.

Received major damage over Yechon, Korea (64 km north-northeast of Taegu AB, Korea) in a midair collision.

Pilot: Carl W. Marshall (survived, went on to fly three tours in Vietnam and retired a USAF Lt. Col., pictured right during basic training)
