Damaged beyond repair at Annette Island, AK in a landing accident (0/6 fatalities).

The Commando was operating a non-scheduled passenger flight to Annette Island, AK with 4 crew members and 2 passengers on board. Landing was made with a crosswind on the icy runway at destination. The aircraft veered left, despite the application of full left power, full right rudder and right brake. It came to rest in rough terrain, nosed over and fell back. There are mentions of the landing gear collapsing as well. All occupants escaped uninjured but the airplane was damaged beyond repair.

23 May 1949

Registration cancelled, destroyed.
