Dupont Air Interests was founded by Samuel Hallock DuPont, Jr.. During the 1950's, Dupont owned an Hertz Rent-a-Plane franchise in Miami, FL. Airplanes rented out by Dupont's customers, including Cessna 172s and Aero Commanders, were repeatedly involved in flights to Cuba, both to bring arms to Castro rebels and to fly clandestine migrants out.
