Operator History

Golden State Airlines started off in 1953 flying between Long Beach and Santa Catalina, CA. By 1969, through a series of merger with other Californian local airlines, it ended up serving the entire state. Golden State ended up purchased by Arizona-based commuter airline StatesWest Airlines, probably in the 1980's.
