Assigned to ATC Domestic Wing, 2nd Ferrying Group, 12th Ferrying Squadron, based in Logan Field, MD.

20 July 1943

Received major damage in Georgetown, British Guyana in a landing accident. The Commando was being ferried from the USA to India.

19 August 1943

Destroyed over the Yunnan province of China after the crew bailed out following an engine failure (no fatalities).

Enroute, an engine failed, forcing the crew to bail out. Out of control, the Commando dove into the ground and crashed. All four crew were unhurt.

23 August 1943

Assigned to ATC India-China Wing, 29th Transport Group, based in Sookerating, Assam, India, but not taken up due to the above accident.

Condemned for salvage.
