Assigned to ATC India-China Wing, 29th Transport Group, 301st Transport Squadron based in Sookerating, Assam, India. [quoted by FAG as being assigned to the 100th Transport Squadron]

12 December 1943

Damaged beyond repair near Ledo, Assam, India (1/3 fatality). [1/4 fatalities according to FAG]

The Commando crashed 22 miles east of Ledo while on a supply mission to Kunming, Yunnan, China. The three crew members bailed out, but only two survived. 1st Lt Kenneth P. Eakin's body was never found. The exact circumstances of the accident remain unknown.
