Assigned to ATC India-China Wing based at Station 6, Chabua, Assam, India.

19 January 1944

Damaged beyond repair in Chabua, Assam, India in a takeoff accident followed by a fire (1/4 fatalities).

On takeoff from Chabua, the Commando stalled and crashed for unknown reason. A crewmember was killed, three others were injured and the aircraft was destroyed by a post-crash fire.

Pilot: 1st Lt Irving W. Degon (injured, deceased the next day)

Condemned for salvage.
