The Commando took off from Chanyi, Yunnan, China on a flight back to its Missamari, Assam, India base. It crashed possibly due to the continuous rain, thunderstorms, overcast layer and icing that was observed that day between 16,000 and 20,000 ft. The entire crew was lost.
