Commando Operations
Panagarh airport was used during World War II by the USAAF as a supply & transport airfield for the 10th Air Force. In the mid-1950's, Western Hemisphere Import Export Company seems to have refurbished the Commandos it purchased from the Indian Government in Panagarh. Today, Panagarh is a joint-use civilian & military airport.
