Commando Operations

Albrook Field was opened in 1928, in order to host the US air units defending the Panama Canal Zone. In September 1997, the base was closed and turned over to Panama. It was refurbished and turned into a civilian airport, which opened in January 1999 as Albrook "Marcos A. Gelabert" International Airport.
