Bahamasair
Operator History
Bahamasair started operations on 17 June 1973 as the flag carrier of the Bahamas. It began by purchasing the routes of Flamingo Airlines and Out Island Airways (OIA). Its fleet was very diverse, with a mix of Douglas DC3s, Convair 340s, Lockheed L188 Electras and BAC One-Elevens. Bahamasair remains in operation today, with a small fleet of Boeing 737s and ATRs.
