Operator History
Companhia Itau de Transportes Aereos was founded on 30 September 1947 as a subsidiary of cement producer Itau. It was exclusively dedicated to the transportation of cargo. Operations started in 1948. In October 1955, suffering from the loss of several aircraft due to accidents, Itau was sold to TAN (Transportes Aereos Nacional), which incorporated it in 1956.
