Operator History

Paranapanema was founded in 1961 by Aloysio Ramalho Foz as a heavy construction company. From 1965, it diversified into the mining of tin, cassiterite & copper. In 1971, Paranapanema took part in the construction of the Trans-Amazon Highway. Later, the company focused exclusively on mining and ore refining.
