Aircraft types operated included Beech 18s, Commandos, Douglas DC3s, Cessna 180s and Westland Whirlwind helicopters. Some TBM-3 Avengers and Stearmans were used for forest spraying. Wheeler Airlines sold its heavy transport division to Nordair in April 1960, and was eventually taken over altogether by Nordair in 1967.
