Operator History

ANDESA was formed immediately after WWII and seems to have initiated the first commercial flights in Ecuador. In April 1946, the Guayaquil to Quito route was inaugurated, with the President of the Republic Velasco Ibarra on board, who actually took control of the aircraft for a moment, under supervision by the pilot!

In February 1948, the company was put up for sale.
