Operator History
SATCO was the state airline of Peru between 1960 and 1973. It came to existence from the reorganization of Transportes Aereos Militares (TAM Peru), another state airline, which was founded in 1946. SATCO operated domestic passenger and cargo flights, from its Lima Jorge Chavez International base using a fleet of Douglas DC3, DC4, DC6 and Commandos. In 1973, SATCO became AeroPeru.
