Plymouth Leasing Corporation
Operator History
Plymouth Leasing was formed in 1973 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Air Traffic, an aircraft handling outfit specialized in the handling of cargo flights out of Detroit Willow Run, MI. Air Traffic was mostly handling flights carrying automotive parts for the Detroit automobile industry, and in the early 1970's it recognized the need to own and lease out aircraft to ensure the availability of adequate cargo airlift capacity. Plymouth Leasing provided aircraft and financing services mostly to Ortner Air Service and Rosenbalm Aviation, but also to other operators.
