Sourdough Air Transport
Operator History
Sourdough Air Transport was founded in 1953 by Tony Johanson. It was based at Seattle Boeing Field, WA, but mainly operated in Alaska. The name "sourdough" refers to prospectors in the Klondike gold rush in Alaska, who brought that bread leaven with them as treasured family heirlooms and passed them from generation to generation.
