Operator History

SSW Inc. was a non-scheduled airline founded in 1950 at Buchanan Field in Concord, CA. It initially operated a single DC3, before two Commandos and a DC4 joined the fleet. The company operated commercially under the name Supair. SSW seems to have ceased operations in 1953, but was restarted in 1959 as Universal Airlines - not to be confused with Zantop's rebranding under that name later in the 1960's. Universal was short-lived, shutting down in 1960.
