Operator History
Trans Continental Airlines was founded in 1972 as the International Airlines Academy. From 1975, it was renamed Trans Continental Airlines. A good share of its business was the carriage of automotive parts from Detroit Willow Run, MI to various destinations across the USA. Its fleet consisted mainly in Douglas DC6s and Commandos, later replaced by Douglas DC8s.
