Operator History
United Air Lines was established by the amalgamation of several airlines in the late 1920s under the Boeing umbrella, which gave it the name of United Aircraft and Transport Corporation (UATC). On March 28, 1931, UATC formed United Air Lines, Inc. as a holding company for its airline subsidiaries.
Commando Operations
1942 to 1943
United Air Lines never purchased any Commando for its operation. However, several USAAF Commandos were lent to the airline in 1942 in order to conduct operational prooving flights.
