Operator History

LEBCA operated domestic and international non-scheduled cargo services as well as charters. Routes served included Caracas – Maracaibo – Aruba – Miami. Its fleet was composed of Lockheed Super Constellations, Canadair DC-4Ms, C-47s and Commandos. It ceased operations in April 1968 and its routes were subsequently handed over to VIASA.

Commando Operations

November 1955* to May 1968*

LEBCA purchased YV-C-LBF in 1955. It also acquired YV-C-LBD in 1958 but that one seems to never have been taken up. YV-C-LBF was sold to Peru in 1961. YV-C-LBR was purchased in 1963 and sold in 1968 to Tigres Voladores. YV-C-LBS was purchased in 1961 and lasted in the fleet until the VIASA takeover in 1968.
