Operator History

SAN Venezolanos was a small Venezuelan airline, that probably operated a single Commando. In September 1954, during a stopover in Brazil, SAN's CEO Edgard J. Colon staged the theft of his aircraft by his own pilots in order to claim the insurance money. However, his scheme was uncovered by Brazilian authorities, and it seems that this was the closing event of SAN Venezolanos' short existence.
