Operator History

The FAA (Fuerza Aerea Argentina) was created on 4 January 1945, just after World War II in which Argentina took no part. It descended from the Army Aviation Service, or Aviacion de Ejercito, which was founded back in 1912.

Commando Operations

July 1968* to June 1971*

The FAA did not have Commandos in its inventory in general. However, it did receive a single Commando in July 1968, that was seized from Linea Aerea Rio Platense after being found carrying contraband into Argentina. That aircraft was operated by the FAA for a couple years in conjunction with the Argentinian Civil Aviation Authority (Direccion Nacional de Aviacion Civil).
