Operator History

The 3075th Aircraft Ferrying Squadron was formed on 1 September 1948 with the mission of training ferry crews. For these duties, it was assigned a host of different aircraft, including the T-6, T-11, T-33, B-26, F-47, F-51, C-46 and C-119. Transition flight training programs were developped and taught for all these aircraft. The Squadron was redesignated 1739th Ferrying Squadron on 1 July 1952, while its mission, personnel and equipment remained unchanged.
