Continental Air Command
Air Force Reserve Training Centers (AFRTC) throughout the country were assigned to the Continental Air Command. However, in the beginning of the 1958 Fiscal Year, a major change swept through the Air Force Reserve, and the decision was made to convert all Air Force Reserve flying units to the troop carrier mission. Thus AFRTC's disappeared and became individual Troop Carrier Groups & Squadrons.
