Operator History
The 150th Air Transport Squadron, Light was established as part of the New Jersey National Guard at Newark, NJ on 1 February 1956. It was initially equipped with Commandos, performing transport missions from Newark to various points in the Northeastern USA. In 1963, Commandos were retired in favor of the Lockheed C-121 Constellation, primarily to transport passengers to Europe.
