Moved to Tanauan Field, Leyte, Philippines with the 69^th Troop Carrier Squadron.

The Commando was operating an ambulance flight between Elmore Field, Mindoro and Tanauan Field, Leyte, Philippines with 6 crew and 28 patients onboard. It took off at 1045 LT from Elmore Field. At around 1315 LT, the crew radioed that they were turning back to Mindoro, without further information. They were never heard or seen again. It is suspected that they collided with Douglas C-47 42-100455, which was operating a flight between Tanauan to Labo, Mindanao and disappeared around the same time.
