Destroyed in a midair collision 10 km northwest of Columbia City, IN (2/2+1 fatalities). [43 47270 1NTSB Report]

The Commando was operating a VFR cargo flight between Detroit, MI and Kansas City, MO with two crewmembers onboard. It collided in midair with private Piper Aztec N5628Y. After the collision, both aircraft went out of control, dove to the ground and crashed in an open field. The two Commando pilot and the Aztec pilot were killed.
