Transportes Aereos Uruguayos
Operator History
Transportes Aereos Uruguayos SA (TAUSA) was founded by an unknown American citizen. On 3 December 1962, the US Civil Aeronautics Board granted the company permission to operate three weekly flights between Miami, FL and destinations in Central America. However, the permit was revoked on 7 January 1963 on the grounds of the airline having misrepresented its owner's citizenship to be Uruguayan.
Commando Operations
June 1963* to 1965*
Transportes Aereos Uruguayos seems to have operated 3 Commandos purchased from bankrupt Netherlands Antilles Air Transport. It seems that these aircraft were operated, however no Uruguayan registration for them is known.
