American Airmotive Corporation
Operator History
American Airmotive Corporation was most likely an aircraft and spare parts broker, and also operated a maintenance facility. It was managed by Robert L. Rosen, Harold A. Egan, Jr, John O. Carney and Joseph D. Loturco.
In the late 1950's, it specialized in builing the NA-75 agricultural aircraft, a development of the Stearman 75 Kaydet. It also offered new high-lift wings for the Stearman, along with special modification kits. Over a period of 8 years, more than 200 Stearmans were fitted with these new wings, permitting loads of over 2,000 lbs.
Between 1957 and 1960, American Airmotive was involved in the purchase, refurbishment and ferrying back to the USA of several former Indian Government Commandos.
