Operator History

The North American Aircraft Trading Corporation was one of several entities belonging to infamous aviation buccaneer Hank Warton. It apparently succeeded Atlanta Airways as Warton's main outfit some time in the mid-1960's. Warton notably used North American Trading to operate a fleet of Douglas DC7s, Lockheed L1049 Super Constellations and Commandos in support of the Biafran Government during the Nigerian Civil War (1967-1970). The outfit was also used for several other Warton's ventures, yet not much is known of them. It seems to have been used in parallel with Warton's Bermuda corporation ARCO to operate flights in Europe and Africa.
