Operator History
The 34th Troop Carrier Squadron, a WWII Douglad C-47 Skytrain squadron, was redesignated 34th Troop Carrier Squadron, Medium on 23 May 1952 and reactivated. It was now part of the Far East Air Forces, 315th Troop Carrier Group, Medium, operating the Curtiss C-46D Commando from Brady AB, Japan. As a combat resupply and transport squadron during the Korean War, it provided aerial transportation between Japan and Korea. The Squadron was inactivated on 18 January 1955.
