Assigned to I Troop Carrier Command, 807th AAF Base Unit, Bergstrom AAF, TX.

9 June 1945

Received major damage at Bergstrom AAF, TX in a ground collision.

The Commando was parked at Bergstrom AAF, TX when it was hit by sistership 44-77728 of the same unit operated by John C. Murphy. Both aircraft sustained major damage.

25 March 1946

Recommended for salvage.

30 April 1946

Salvage completed.
