Operator History
In 1953, Lyon Air went into liquidation. On 27 July 1954, a contract was signed with ALA (Sociedad de Transportes Aereos), whereby the latter leased the remaining Lyon Air assets. The entity operated under the name "ALA Air Chile + Lyon Air". On 12 December 1959, the assets were transferred to an entity named Companía Salitrera Tarapaca y Antofagasta (COSATAN), which in turn leased them to Delano y Sepulveda. After several years operating aircraft freely, Delano y Sepulveda founded Linea Aerea Condor Ltda. on 20 December 1971, partly with Lyon Air's remaining assets. Lyon Air's assets were finally sold on 12 July 1978 to Oscar Squella Espina and Roberto Brieba Jordan, who used them to found LATISA the following day.
