Tor-Air
Operator History
Loadair was a Stockholm Bromma-based charter airline which started operating in 1963 with DC3s. It was declared bankrupt after only one year, in the summer of 1964. When it shut down, a few Loadair pilots led by Captain Thure Hultman borrowed money, purchased Loadair's assets and took over its charter agreements. Newly-formed Tor-Air started operating in August 1964. However, in Sepember 1966, Tor-Air flights were abruptly discontinued.
Commando Operations
June 1965 to November 1966
Tor-Air purchased three Commandos from Transair Sweden in 1965-1966 and operated them in cargo and passenger configurations. After the bankruptcy, they were purchased and operated by Fairline, another airline founded by Thure Hultman.
