Operator History

The 301st Transport Squadron was activated on 21 June 1943 at Sookerating, Assam, India, and assigned to the 29th Transport Group. It flew the route over the "Hump" between Assam and Yunnan to provide much needed supplies to China. The 301st was for the most part an all-C-47 squadron, however it did operate a few Commandos too.
